Ride share services between the hotel and Louis Armstrong Airport are available for approximately $35 USD during normal rate hours

  • Taxis are available and the average fare to the hotel is approximately $45

  • Please note that due to the unusually high volume of traffic caused by the Mardi Gras season, rides will typically take longer than normal. Also, please plan your trip to and from the airport accordingly, as the hotel is situated on Canal Street, one of the primary parade routes for New Orleans. Ground Transportation options:

Airport Shuttle

Airport Shuttle service is available to and from Downtown and Uptown New Orleans hotels, the French Quarter, the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and the Cruise Ship Terminals.

Schedule

Shuttles run every day of the year, with vans departing approximately every 30 minutes (except between 2 and 3:30 a.m.).

Purchasing Tickets

You can purchase ticket(s) at www.airportshuttleneworleans.com or in person at the Airport Shuttle Ticket Desk, located on the ground level of the airport across from the baggage claim area, or you can make a reservation by calling 866-596-2699. They accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover (and cash if you're paying in person at the airport location). If you're purchasing your ticket(s) at the airport, please claim your luggage FIRST.

For Departure Reservations (from downtown New Orleans back to the airport), please call (504) 522-3500 or (866) 596-2699 no later than 24 hours prior to your flight. 

Costs and Fine Print

  • $24 one-way, $44 round trip for adults and children 6 and older. Children under 6 ride free (subject to change)

  • The first three average-sized bags per passenger are free. Oversized or additional luggage is subject to an additional fee (Please Note: Vehicles cannot handle equipment or large items)

  • Although not required, travelers must provide their own child car seats or booster seats, if wanted

  • Special arrangements may be made for groups and pre-purchased vouchers

  • Shuttle tickets are non-refundable

  • Fares do not include a driver gratuity

Taxicabs

There is a cab stand right outside of the airport on level 1. Fares are $33 each way for one or two people. Three people or more are $14 each. There is a $1 per bag fee. This fare is good from the airport to anywhere in the city of New Orleans. It’s regulated by the city but is subject to change.

Ride Sharing

Easily order an Uber or Lyft when you land at the New Orleans airport, and they’ll get you to your destination in no time! Located on level 1, there is a designated spot for rideshare pick ups. It is conveniently outside of baggage claim, so grab your suitcase and meet your driver. Trips to and from the airport with start and end locations in Orleans Parish are a minimum of $33.

Lyft has launched Fast Match at the new MSY. Request a Lyft ride normally through the app, and if available, you'll see a new screen pop up in your app. Tap to get a unique four digit code, and follow the directions to the Lyft Fast Match line. An ambassador will be there to assist you. 

City Bus

Hop the RTA’s 202 Airport Express, which travels from the airport terminals to Elk Place at Canal Street in Downtown New Orleans. The fare is $1.50 and the bus makes 9 daily trips to New Orleans.

Driving Directions to hotel:

  • Take I-10 East to I-10 New Orleans Business District

  • Continue for approximately 2 miles to the St Charles Avenue Exit.

  • As you exit, stay in the left hand lane and at the first traffic light; take a left onto Carondelet

    Street.

  • Stay on Carondelet until you reach Canal Street.

  • Take a right onto Canal Street (the hotel is on your left as you make this turn) and get into the

    left lane.

  • Make the first U-turn available on Canal Street and circle back to the hotel on the corner of

    Bourbon and Canal Street (739 Canal Street).
